12.7 Seconds to Stop: The Donald MacLean Story

Picture

RADD - Recording Artsists, Actors and Athletes Against Drink Driving - has produced a TV documentary called "12.7 Seconds to Stop: The Donald MacLean Story". It is the story of 22-year-old Donald MacLean from Darwin, who was the innocent victim of a hit and run crash, caused by a driver who should not have been on the road. The documentary shows the impact his senseless death had on his family, friends, and his community.

Don was a young man who loved his footy, his girlfriend, and his family. He played rugby for the Darwin Dragons and AFL for the Tracy Village Football Club.

His story will make you cry, make you laugh at times, and it will make you angry.

The world premiere of "12.7 Seconds to Stop: The Donald MacLean Story" will be broadcast on Nine Darwin and Imparja Central this coming Sunday 28 April, immediately following "60 Minutes". The date marks, what would have been, Donald MacLean's 30th birthday.

The Chief Minister Adam Giles is currently announcing this very special documentary at a launch event in Darwin, and we are looking for your support to help promote this story which holds an important road safety message for all Territorians.

The documentary is available here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0gTs6ikNEkQ

Additionally, you can find more material on our Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/RADD.Australia- which you are welcome to share.

Thank you for your interest and support. We hope that by promoting Don's story we can help prevent such tragedies from occurring in the future.
